We offer free teen counselling, mediation, independent living support, parenting courses and support groups at no cost to those attending. By supporting youth, parents and children we hope to assist both the individual and the family in making healthy choices and decisions.
Services are for youth 13 to 19 years of age, their families and young parents to 26 years of age. We make every effort to remain flexible and deliver the services that families require.
Your visit to COS is confidential but information about abuse, neglect or being a threat to yourself or others cannot be kept secret and may need to be shared with a social worker, family member, doctor or the police.

Our aim is to provide you with the service that is most helpful to you.
COS counsellors book their own appointments that are usually about one hour long.
COS was incorporated as a society on June 25, 1973. It is a not-for-profit agency, governed by a volunteer board of directors.
We receive funding from the Ministry for Children and Family Development, but we are not their employees. COS has been a member agency of the Cowichan United Way since 1986.
COS is also supported with donations from the Cowichan Community.
