“Still Warriors” – Boys Group
Standing Together: A Journey into Respect

In a group of 8 boys and 2 facilitators, boys will work together to create a healthy, non-judgmental council in which they will challenge the myths and stereotypes about how to “be a real man”. Boys will have an opportunity to express ideas, identify and normalize a full range of emotions while strengthening their resilience.
Through this process and looking at society’s expectations and the realities of being male, boys can experience freedom in making decisions for themselves about who they are and what their truths are, whom they choose to be and how they choose to live.
With this freedom boys can be strong in themselves; stand up for their beliefs without fear; prevent violence, harassment and abuse and stand united as boys and as men.
The council promotes understanding, critical thinking skills, pride, unity and positive regard for diversity.
